EcoSmart™ Burner ONE and Extinguisher installed in private residence. Manufactured by The Fire Company.
One of the season’s most exciting assemblage of cutting-edge design is coming up this week in Santa Monica, California.
CA Boom V will be touching down in the Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Airport March 14-16, featuring an overwhelming array - building accessories, home accessories, lighting, solar, studio furniture, surfaces.
Check out this beautiful open fireplace that was featured last year - the ecosmart. It burns with a cool (literally) alcohol flame, which means you don’t have to worry about fancy installations. In fact, you can have it as a standalone on plastic casters, allowing you to move your fireplace around the living room, roll it out onto the deck, or stash it away when you’re having a big party, or simply want more space over the summer. And no emissions!

This year there will be several special focus zones:
The Prefab Zone features some of the top firms in the world of off-site assembly and design, with a Saturday (March 15) panel discussion from the leading ladies of the movement: Michelle Kaufmann, Jennifer Siegal, Rocio Romero and Allison Arieff, the former editor-in-chief of DWELL magazine.
There’s also a Modern Kitchen and Bath Zone, with Poliform, CHR/Scavolini, New York Loft, Valcucine/Dom, with installations and displays from CaesarStone, Liebherr, Tonusa, Advanced Concrete Enhancement, Neo-Metro, O-Form, and others.
Not enough? Check out the Modern Parenting Zone, showcasing the latest from Bloom, notNeutral, Boodalee, coochicoos, Scandinavian Child, ducduc and lots more.
Day tickets are $20, available through the website; there’s also a Friday night party with food, DJs, and schmoozing that’s well worth the $50 price tag.
“…a design showcase… part trade show, part happening, part conference, part home tour and part party.”

Paperless Gypsum Board
I love this product! I specified it on a loft project - but like all great products I fall in love with - it eventually got deleted.
