Live at NeoCon: Heart 1.1

The first question I have for the marketing/branding team at Sandler Seating is can we expect a Heart 1.2? And what might that look like? Anyways, here’s a romantic red chair for those designers who want to be comfortable and cozy, while additionally feeling warm and loved.

Designed by Oscar Tusquets Blanca, Heart 1.1 is an upholstered armchair with heart-shaped back, which is mounted above a central column base in chromium-plated metal with 360 degree swivel function. It’s padded with fire-proof injected foam and comes upholstered in Microfibre Comfort or leather.

What might be appropriate applications? I’d say mostly commercial interiors and office lounge spaces. However, I additionally see this as a residential seating item as well. Even more so if a boyfriend/husband were looking to make nice-nice with his girlfriend/wife - this probably goes further than a simple bouquet of flowers or Godiva chocolates. I know I’d blush myself if a girl delivered this chair to my house. But then again, as I confessed in a prior article from this week, I’m a hopeless romantic.

Be sure to have a look at Heart 1.1, and if anyone has thoughts or suggestions on a Heart 1.2 please post comments below. It will be much appreciated.

Just a thought, but might be a cute idea to design a Love Seat as the Heart 1.2. Nothing says ‘I love you’ like a seating configuration for two.
