This past spring while working on a limited budget “Green” conference room, I discovered Ceilume’s Polyline drop ceiling panels. Polyline is Ceilume’s “go anywhere” drop ceiling panel. We were thrilled because not only were the panels Green Guard certified and budget friendly, they also had a variety of styles to choose from. 
Ceilings just don’t get the attention they deserve. When people look around, they look around, usually not stopping to look up. On the other hand, we do notice bad lighting—much of which emanates from above. My point is that ceilings should get some serious consideration, since they affect how we feel in a space.

From the somewhat-rarefied terrain of Redwood City, CA, the manufacturer known as Neidhardt Inc. offers stock, customized stock, and custom lighting fixtures for a diverse clientele including designers, business owners, and architects. The soon-to-be 20-year-old company founded by Frank Neidhardt and Karen Moffeit has outfitted restaurants, hotels, and airports from the great Northwest to the great Midwest (including the Sea-Tac Airport and Chicago’s Park Hyatt) and beyond, so a new stock fixture is sure to garner interest.
While the Teletubbies of the BBC have given me heebie jeebies after a few jaded babysitting experiences, I find similar-shaped furnishings - that don’t giggle, jiggle or have antennas - to be quite cute.
