The sculptural Oval lamp by Manhattan-based designer, Ran Lerner was launched earlier this year at the Boffo Design House during ICFF.

Oval’s unique design provides a visual counter-balance, and a great emission of light.

Extending out of a slim aluminum base, Oval’s elegant stem stretches upwards and straight through its own oval-shaped ABS plastic shade.

About the designer: Ran Lerner is a Manhattan-based product designer who graduated from the prestigious Domus Academy with a Master Degree in Industrial Design in 1998. He moved to New York the following year where he worked as a designer for Adam Tihany International and Cambridge Silversmiths. In 2003 Lerner set up his own studio and built a reputation as an independent, dynamic industrial designer. He is a promoter of eco-friendly manufacturing and strives to make affordable designs with a witty sensibility. In addition, Lerner also teaches industrial design students at the Parsons School of Design and FIT.
