Spotted at recent trade shows in various shapes and sizes, from reissued classics to new clean-lined incarnations, the classic daybed is enjoying a resurgence in popularity. 

Brooklyn-based Vonnegut/Kraft exhibited this sculptural daybed at ICFF last May. Named after its crescent-shaped headrest, the ‘Crescent Lounge’ is crafted in ash while the slipcover upholstery is available in a variety of fabrics.

Launched at the Stockholm Furniture Fair earlier this month, Ilse Crawford‘s new all-natural ‘Sinnerlig’ line for Ikea includes this mid-century Danish-inspired daybed.

Bethan Laura Wood’s dazzling ‘Guadaloupe’ daybed for Kvadrat debuted in Milan last year as part of an exhibition of specially-commissioned pieces that make use of the Danish textile house’s iconic ‘Divina’ fabric.
