Designed by Spanish architect Patricia Urquiola for Kettal, Vimini is a new collection of outdoor furniture inspired by Danish furniture designer Nanna Ditzel’s famed Basket chair, which she created in the 1950s and in the years since has become a cult classic.

Vimini means “wicker” in Italian, so it should be no surprise that there’s no shortage of the material in the new collection, which includes a sofa in two sizes, a chair, a center table, and a side table.

The sofa and chairs are each equipped with a sturdy wood frame to ensure durability when exposed to the elements, and has a modernist spirit punctuated by cushions inspired by colors plucked from nature.
