Bob, Your New Favorite Office Friend
Who knows and admires a “Bob”? I can think of a few: my uncle in Michigan, the older man who walks downtown with his adorable Australian Shepard named George, and a previous landlord of ours who was extremely generous, an avid cyclist, and who drove a shiny, tomato-red Volkswagen bus.

Thanks to Studio TK, my “Bob” list now includes the WALL-E-like workplace companion stool constructed entirely out of the cork that never made it to the big time of becoming an actual wine bottle cork.

Bob’s earliest beginnings start in the cork oak forests of the Mediterranean.

As wine bottle corks are produced, there’s a waste product. That’s who Bob is, all that waste put together to form such an affable-looking friend.

Bob, a/k/a Modus Bob, comes with a laundry list of positive attributes: renewable, easily recycled, hydrophobic, carbon positive, and sound-dampening. Bob brings some serious “MVP” energy to social spaces and work environments.

Even better, when it’s Bob’s time to go, Bob can be recycled into a new product or composted, enriching the soil of whatever garden Bob goes into. Bob is truly a team player.

This fun(ctional) and eco-friendly stool was dreamed up by designer Michael Sodeau.

Bob is produced for Studio TK with Modus in South Somerset in the United Kingdom.
