Art Sketch: New Designs from Wall/Pepper
After having wrapped up their hometown team Salone design week, Milan-based Wall/Pepper has released 60 new wallpaper designs for their 2025 collection.

The collection when listed in alphabetical orders starts with a pink-hued “Agata” and a gallery wall “AI Museo” (see below) and ends with “Wagaza,” “Waterfall,” and “Zodiac.”

Wall/Pepper—now with a newly incorporated branded “/” as part of their name—believes wallpaper has the power to uplift spaces, whether it’s a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, or where the kiddos sleep and play. Their customizable and high quality wallpapers are meant “to make art an important part of everyday life.”

Perhaps that’s why I’m most drawn to the sketched scenes that look like someone made a mural right there on the wall.

I adore the illustrative lightness and playful escapades of the children’s room designs. The funny alligators in Melvin remind me of Lyle, Lyle Crocodile. The green reptiles have small, colorful birds keeping them company.

In Sketches, it’s as if a child were given permission (and a ladder) to cover the wall in their own unique drawings. If you look closely, you’ll find zebras, robots, safety pins, and rainbows among the delights.

Not all the designs are just for kids. Kogai, designed by Gabriele Artusio, is more of a grown-up wallcovering. This watercolor is of Tokyo at night featuring ramen restaurants, stacked apartments, and wide, inviting sidewalks.

Les Amoreux by Barbara Mancini hints at “The Dance” by Henri Matisse, though with special, ethereal elements.

The richness of the 2025 Wall/Pepper wallpaper collection is deep.
