Blast Off with Pholc x Eszter Bertóty
The Apollo Collection by Swedish brand Pholc evokes both Greek Mythology and the Apollo Rocket. Apollo, the Greek god of music and light, order and beauty is associated with strength and integrity—witness the U.S. space program that culminated in the infamous moon landing.

Pholc’s Apollo Collection, featured above in the interior design of the Aeron flagship store in Budapest by designer Eszter Bertóty, is simplicity and function at its finest. Made from one solid piece of machine-turned brass or aluminum, the lamps are not only sleek, but also have strength other lamps lack. Like acrobats meeting in the air, hand to hand, the Apollo lamps cones are delicately balanced atop one another.

Apollo 14 (sconces) might be considered the most versatile of the group—their cones can turn upward or downward. Apollo 59, the pendant, points the cone downwards. Lastly, the floor lamp, Apollo 180, orients the cone upward, casting its light to the ceiling while capturing an aesthetic that evokes blast off.

Options for Apollo include stems in five colors and shades in pewter or black.
