Live at NeoCon: Candy-Colored Lighting Is Sweet

Born in 1982, Ferroluce has one simple goal: “The aim is to create lamps for the whole world to fall in love with, amazing everyone from Finland to Asia to the United States.”

The company accomplishes this through saturated shiny ceramic, a material that sets off their bold colors.
BUMBUM
This donut-shaped lamp comes in multiple configurations, both as a pendant and a sconce. The basic shape is reminiscent of Life Savers candies (which may explain why I have a nonsensical desire to eat them up).

Stack three or four horizontally or vertically to create a dynamic pendant. Go monochromatic or variegated. Bumbum is perfect for playful offices, kids rooms, Miami Beach hotels, Palm Springs resorts—and patisseries, of course!
HABEA

Habea table lamp combines curves and straight edges to great effect. Now available in two heights, this little beacon comes in an array of hues. There is also a sconce version, as well as a pendant.

For some reason, the table lamp proves most satisfying, maybe because it reminds me of Parisian streetlamps (the kind one might see outside the Metro). This association may also explain why Habea is oh-so-enviable in green.

YAKITORI

Also new is Yakirori, which comes as a single pendant or triple statement piece. Hung from steel wires on either side, this lamp offers more structure than other pendants by Ferroluce.

Go with a monochromatic look or combine two or three above a dining room table—or a conference table, for those offices willing to be a bit different.
