New from Mizetto, Cargo is a modular sofa that launched two weeks ago at ICFF in New York. Cargo has been awarded a 2025 Best of NeoCon award in the Innovative product category.

Co-Owner of Mizetto, Richard Muskala always wanted to design a sofa, but he wanted it to be something different. This design by ADDI is playful, flexible, and accessible.

Cargo is easy and simple. It’s built around the idea of three pieces: a corner, a middle, and a pouf.

Beyond it’s packed-for-a-plane namesake, I also see sugar cubes or elements of a chocolate bar.

The nylon straps emblazoned with Mizetto’s logo are one such option on view at NeoCon 2025.

The criss-cross cargo-hold straps can also match the fabric.

The cover is fastened tightly with velcro, meaning the fabric is easy to repair and/or replace if necessary, a much more sustainable option.

The straps are for effect. The sofa pieces are in fact molded in this shape.

A simple tray is also available to complement the Cargo design.

It rests between the sections for a flat-top surface for a coffee or a tea or your latest novel.
