NeoCon 2025: Evo is for Everyone!
At this year’s Fulton Market Design Days, Allsteel transformed their Chicago Experience Center into a celebration of “The Intentional Community for Connection and Creativity.” The star of the show was certainly their newly reengineered Evo Task Chair.

The standout feature of the new Evo is its quilted knit back.

It is crafted from 90% post-consumer recycled polyester and 10% SEAQUAL yarn created from upcycled marine litter collected from our oceans.

The stretchy, breathable 3-D technical knit, developed in partnership with Camira Fabrics, delivers exceptional comfort while allowing Allsteel to stay true to their lets-save-the-planet ethos.

The precision-engineered material is woven directly to size, eliminating the need for cutting, glue, or sewing. The result? Zero waste production and a seamless manufacturing process that aligns with Allsteel’s commitment to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Allsteel uses heat and ShrinkKnit technology to adhere the knit backing to the chair frame, creating a complete, seamless fit.

The minimalist quilted “T” pattern enhances the chair’s inherent lumbar support, allowing the seat to flex and adjust to each user’s body in real time.

Another flex for this product is Allsteel’s expansion to introduce painted aluminum as a new finish option. There are 40 curated paint choices for the aluminum arms and bases to match any organization’s aesthetics.

For organizations prioritizing carbon neutrality, Allsteel now offers carbon-neutral models of the Evo.

Evo’s intuitive controls, automatic weight-activated tension, and long-term comfort haven’t gone anywhere. Instead, Allsteel has just opened up the Evo party for everyone to attend.
