Cloud Form, Cast in Gold

Cloud Form, Cast in Gold

Ceiling lighting rarely feels this soft. The Moon Gold Nuages Ceiling Light by Hélène de Saint Lager drifts overhead like a quiet constellation. Available through Twenty First Gallery, it delivers both atmosphere and artistry in equal measure.

At over six feet wide, it makes a statement—but gently. Each “cloud” is cast in poured aluminum, then finished in radiant moon gold leaf. The forms don’t hide their process. Edges stay organic. Surfaces vary. Everything catches the light differently, which keeps the eye moving.

De Saint Lager’s background in sculpture and millinery comes through. The piece is fluid yet structured. Decorative, but not fussy. It floats—but feels intentional.

For hospitality projects, especially lounges or signature suites, this is ceiling lighting that does more than glow. It defines the space above. It warms the room below.

Others have explored cloud-like lighting—see Scott Jarvie’s Undulus for comparison—but this one feels more couture. Less mimicry, more dreamscape.
