Ceramic Lighting: Chains, Stacks, and Shades of Light
From Crosland + Emmons, ceramic lighting becomes art. The Inclusion multi-light drops a cluster of hand-formed shades, each with its own personality. The Stacked pendant builds a vertical column from paper-thin ceramic discs, shifting gently between solid and translucent. The Captured sconce takes a different path, with chain links circling a central cup like jewelry cast in clay.
All three share a deliberate roughness. Edges ripple, chains twist, forms feel alive in their asymmetry. The absence of color heightens the effect, turning surface and shadow into the main event. Each piece finds balance in imperfection, adding rhythm and depth to spaces that might otherwise feel static.
These ceramic lighting pieces are not filler for blank ceilings or walls. They create focal points that anchor a room. Think hotel lounge, restaurant entry, gallery corridor, or even a bold workplace installation. They bring the same presence as Eric Roinestad’s Design Miami lighting: art that also happens to illuminate.
