Outdoor Metal Furniture: A New Glow for a Modern Classic
Fast’s Forest Limited Edition redefines what outdoor metal furniture can look and feel like. Introduced as part of its 30th-anniversary celebration, this restyled classic brings a richer, more atmospheric presence to one of the company’s most recognizable designs. The new metallic copper finish suggests a surface shaped by time: warm, irregular, and quietly luminous.
Originally designed by Robby Cantarutti & Partners, Forest has always explored how aluminum can feel airy rather than industrial. The branch-like cutouts remain its defining gesture, but this edition gives them new depth. The finish heightens each intersection and adds tonal nuance, echoing the brand’s recent chromatic experimentation in Fast Forward to the Color Revolution.
The copper-effect coating is the true shift. Fast developed it through a four-step, hand-applied process that softens the metal’s sheen and introduces subtle variations, qualities that make the chair feel crafted while remaining contract-ready. Light glides across the outer shell. Shadow settles inside the geometry. The overall effect is expressive but controlled, durable yet distinctive.
Those traits make Forest Limited Edition well suited to boutique hotels, amenity decks, cultural courtyards, and other commercial outdoor spaces seeking pieces with presence. Each chair is numbered, yet the finish is consistent enough for multi-unit specifications, striking a balance between individuality and cohesion.
Fast has spent three decades refining aluminum into a language of its own. This edition feels like a confident punctuation mark: elevated by craft and built for contemporary outdoor environments.
