The BIC Lamp by Seletti takes one of the most recognizable objects in modern life and translates it into statement lighting, revealed at Maison&Objet 2026 with a straight face and a sense of humor. The piece is now available to preorder.  

Designed by Mario Paroli in honor of the 75th anniversary of BIC Cristal, the lamp enlarges the classic pen to a monumental scale, turning something disposable into something deliberately permanent. The light reads clean and graphic. More architectural than nostalgic. More object than irony.

This is statement lighting as cultural shorthand. Instantly legible. Slightly mischievous. It performs best as a visual anchor, the kind of piece that sparks conversation in a lobby, showroom, or creative office without pretending to be subtle. Not every project needs restraint.
