A More Civilized Office Chair
At first glance, My Belle reads more lounge than task chair. That’s the hook. Designed by Baldanzi & Novelli for Bralco, it brings a softer posture to the executive office chair, one shaped as much by material decisions as by ergonomics.
The form is composed and architectural, but never stiff. Upholstered surfaces wrap gently around the sitter, creating a sense of enclosure without visual weight. Fabric and leather combinations do much of the expressive work here. They introduce contrast, depth, and warmth, keeping the chair from reading as purely task-driven.
In a commercial context, My Belle succeeds because it tempers authority. It feels appropriate behind an executive desk, but just as natural pulled into a meeting room or private office where the atmosphere matters. This is executive seating that acknowledges how offices are actually used today, shared, flexible, and increasingly design-forward. It aligns with the broader shift toward more considered workplace seating, a direction we recently explored in here.
My Belle doesn’t try to redefine the office chair. It simply improves the experience of sitting in one. For designers specifying spaces meant to feel composed, human, and quietly elevated, that restraint is exactly the point.
