Air, Knit, Repeat

Air, Knit, Repeat

There’s something quietly radical about Knit One Modular Seating by Paul Croft Studio for Isomi. It looks upholstered. It reads cushioned. But this modular lounge seating is mostly air and knit.

Inspired by 3D knitting technology, the system removes non-environmental materials and leans into zero-waste production. The ribbed surface nods to classic stitched upholstery, yet the volume feels lighter. Cleaner. Almost architectural in its continuity.

Each module is reversible. Straight sections, angled components, and a bolt-on wood table invite flexible layouts that actually make sense in shared spaces. Think hospitality lounges, university commons, or collaborative office floors that need movement without visual clutter.

Unlike typical contract seating, this one flat-packs on a lightweight metal frame for local assembly. A small logistical detail with big implications.

If you loved the material experimentation in Let the Chairs Do the Talking, this feels like its next evolution.

Sustainable furniture rarely feels this fresh. Or this resolved.
