Seating That Belongs Beside the Bath
New introductions from Hastings Bath Collection, the Cork Step and Cima Puff bring a softer layer to the bathroom. These two bathroom seating pieces make a strong case for comfort as a design detail, adding tactility, warmth, and a more lived-in rhythm to a space that is often treated too clinically.
The Cima Puff reads like a softened cylinder, upholstered in recycled fabric with a hand that feels closer to linen than performance textile. It’s bathroom seating that doesn’t overstate itself. It just waits, ready for a pause while drying off, getting ready, or lingering a little longer at the vanity.
Nearby, the Cork Step grounds the composition. Dense, dark, and subtly irregular, it introduces a material contrast that feels both practical and tactile. It works as a boost into a deep tub, a landing spot for towels, or a quiet companion to more sculptural bath elements, much like the rounded forms seen in Etna sinks from Bocchi.
Together, the two pieces shift the mood of the bathroom. Less utility, more ritual. More sitting, less rushing.
