French brand Trone (yes, it means throne) has been revolutionizing the bathroom aesthetic since its inception, launching toilets with unique shapes and bold colors. Not too long ago, we introduced you to Callipyge, a three-tier number with a tapering design that frees up space in even the smallest bathroom. Now Trone is about to debut its first smart toilet at Salone—Altesse.

A Japanese WC with a French twist, Altesse offers all the goods without the confusion. “Altesse redefines the suspended Japanese WC: divinely beautiful, divinely simple,” explains Trone. The idea is to keep all the spa-like functions while subtracting any bewildering non-essentials.

What’s left? Rear wash, with five levels of temperature and jet intensity. Ditto for the feminine wash function. Also, five levels of air temperature. An energy-saving mode, a night light, and automatic deodorization. And finally, two available user profiles (apologies to the polyamorous).

Made in France and Italy, Altesse is also beautifully designed. With a subtly scalloped bottom and fine details, this wall-hung all-in-one toilet brings a refined silhouette to the toileting experience. Other nice details include a soft-close lid and rimless bowl for enhanced hygiene.

Did we mention the colors? Like other bathroom fixtures by Trone, including adorable donut-shaped sinks and cylindrical bins, Altesse comes in a range of unapologetic colors, including blush and cobalt blue.
