A Seat, a Surface, a Socket: Meet Hightower’s Modo Pouf and Silo Power
Two new releases from Hightower settle the small standoffs of shared space through flexible contract furniture: where to sit, where to set things down, where to plug in. Modo Pouf with Table pairs a rounded upholstered seat with a cantilevered worksurface, slim enough to read as furniture rather than equipment.
Silo Power stands nearby, a soft-sided column carrying outlets up to where hands actually reach.
Modo arrives in a chorus of textures and tones that reinforce the adaptability of flexible contract furniture, from speckled wool to graphic patterned bands. Casters or glides handle the rest. Slide one toward a colleague, swivel the table, drop a bag on the integrated hook. The piece reads quietly in a healthcare waiting room and confidently in a university commons.
Silo trades the usual gray plastic tower for upholstered finishes that travel with the rest of a designer’s palette. Color it to match, or color it to lead the way down a corridor. Either way, charging stops being a hunt.
Together they extend Hightower’s case for contract furniture that adapts to people, not the other way around. Modo moves where the conversation goes. Silo brings the outlet along for the ride.
