NeoCon 2026: Sandler Debuts Spin, Public Seating as Public Art

At NeoCon 2026, Sandler is debuting Spin, and it’s the kind of introduction that stops you mid-stride. Designed by Brogliato Traverso, Spin is a modular outdoor seating system that coils and curls into itself like a typographer and a landscape architect dreamed it up together.

The form is a continuous spiral. A single unit already reads as an object worth pausing at. Link several together and the composition becomes something closer to land art, a sinuous ribbon that defines space without enclosing it.

That’s the real trick. Spin works at any scale. Compact configurations invite a single person to tuck in, cross-legged, back against the curve. Expanded arrangements reshape an entire plaza, courtyard, or terminal concourse. The airport rendering is particularly convincing: scattered clusters break up a vast floor without cluttering it. Each one earns its footprint.

The red colorway, shown scattered across an open terrace, makes the point plainly. This modular seating system isn’t hiding. It’s the whole composition.

Sandler was a standout at BDNY last fall as well. Designers looking for public seating that functions as both furniture and focal point can find Spin at Showroom 1091, tenth floor of The Mart, June 7–10, 2026.
