The Artisan Orb is a hand-blown glass pendant, and it looks the part. Coronet developed it with artist Ivan Lee Mora, the manufacturer’s first collaboration with an independent artist.

Each orb starts as clear glass layered with white for a semi-opaque glow. The surface carries one of three molded textures. A 12-point vertical linear pattern reads restrained and architectural. The 24-point version tightens the rhythm. The pineapple crosshatch turns faceted, almost jewel-like.

That texture does real work. It breaks the light into layers instead of a flat wash, so the glow feels caught in the material rather than pushed through it.

Underneath the craft sits engineering. Aluminum-core LED boards. Specifiable color temperatures. CRI above 90. It comes in 6- and 11-inch diameters, pendant or wall-mount.

Picture a run of them down a hotel stair or clustered over a lobby bar. Like When Stone Learns to Drift, the appeal is restraint doing the heavy lifting.
