Cryso Glows Even When It’s Off

Cryso Glows Even When It’s Off

Switched off, Cryso reads as material, not equipment. Alessandro Scandurra’s outdoor lighting for iGuzzini wears a micro-textured screen with real depth, a quiet disc that holds the wall long before dusk. Power it up and the surface fills edge to edge with soft, uniform light in a choice of four color temperatures.

The wall version is the showpiece. Bounced light spreads in a radial halo, a small eclipse pinned to the stucco. Ceiling versions run diffuse for general illumination or take swappable optics, from tight spot to wide flood, where covered terraces and breezeways want more control. DALI-2 handles dimming and scene work.

This is exterior lighting built for hospitality duty. Picture it pacing the rhythm of a courtyard colonnade, or dotting a rooftop amenity deck at dusk. IP66 and IK07 ratings shrug off rain and the occasional bump, and the fixture comes apart for repair rather than replacement.

Indoors, iGuzzini applies the same discipline to disappearing acts like Laser Evo. Outside, Cryso would rather be seen. Finishes run white, grey, black, rust brown, and green.
