Velvet, Patchwork, and Eighteen Kinds of Neutral
Anderson Tuftex is launching on two fronts. Alta Moda is new, a wool carpet collection of two styles and the brand’s first wool since January 2025. Still Life gets deeper, with two nylon additions.
Start with the wool. Velluto is the velvet, a drop-stitch stripe running through the pile, enough interruption to keep the surface from reading flat. Five colors, deep Rosso through slate-quiet Azzurro.
Mixtura is the patchwork. Cut-and-loop blocks shift pile height as much as color, so light lands unevenly and the floor never settles into one tone. Three colorways, all soft. It reads more like a laid floor than a woven one.
Wool carpet is the real argument here. It holds up under traffic and softens rather than flattens with age. Specify it where the floor gets seen up close, a boutique lobby, a members’ lounge.
Lumen and Obscura handle the volume. Solution-dyed nylon, eighteen colorways apiece of warm earth tones. Less event, more foundation. The kind of spec that has to carry a whole floor of guest rooms without anyone noticing.
Shaw’s contract side made the broader case at NeoCon, where four flooring collections landed at once.
