Storage decides whether a floorplan works. Kimball International just expanded that argument with two metal storage series pitched at different budgets. Footprint 2.0 is the comprehensive one. Lunor is the lean one.

Footprint 2.0 spans pedestals, low storage, towers, lockers, overheads, and personal lateral files. Bases come footed, mobile, recessed plinth, or flush plinth. Eight pull profiles are offered, including a recessed pull that reads as no pull at all. Overheads take receding or flipper doors. Contrasting paint on select models lets a locker bank carry color without pulling in a separate finish package. Pedestal cushions turn undersurface storage into a seat.

Lunor takes the value position. Pedestals, storage cabinets, lateral files, bookcases, and islands, on mobile or to-the-floor bases. Cabinets run 28 and 52.5 inches high. Lateral files come in three and five drawers. Combination files take shelves or doors. The same recessed pull is available. Fewer decisions mean a lower entry point.

The pairing is the useful part. Spec Footprint 2.0 in private offices and workstations where personalization earns its keep. Run Lunor through open plan, shared zones, and back-of-house. Lunor islands do double duty as work surface and soft division, which matters when the plan shifts and the storage has to move with it.

Lead time on each is four weeks, which is worth knowing when phasing an install.

Kimball International has been building this portfolio out steadily, as its recent Fulton Market awards suggest. Metal storage is where a lot of that work lands. Two series, two budgets, one plan that still reads as a whole.
