Seats Six on Tuesday, Sixteen on Saturday

The Gather Collection from Transformer Table is an extendable dining table built on an old idea. Crossbuck trestle legs. A broad wood top. A bench pulled up alongside.

The difference is underneath. Galvanized steel rails let the rectangular table run from 72 to 152 inches, seating six at a quiet dinner and 16 at a full one. A round version opens from a 48-inch circle into a 108-inch racetrack oval, seating four to 10. The sideboard holds the spare panels when they’re off duty.

The benches expand too, storing their own panels inside. That matters in rooms where the headcount changes by the night.

Think of a boutique hotel’s private dining room, a multifamily clubhouse, or a tasting room that hosts a book club one night and a rehearsal dinner the next. One expandable table can retire the folding six-footers stacked in the back closet.

Finishes come in two tones. A stained top in Belgian Oak or French Chestnut sits on a hand-brushed Patina Black or Patina White base. The crossbuck repeats across table, bench, chair, and sideboard, a rhythm that echoes artisanal furniture built on repetition.
