Orgueil is Trone’s square wall hung toilet, and it reads as the deliberate opposite of the brand’s curvier work. Same seven glazes. Rectilinear geometry.

The palette carries across: White, Cream, Peach, Pink, Blue, Black, and a speckled Flaked Green. On a curve, color softens. On a square, it does something harder. Black and Blue turn the fixture into a block of furniture. Cream and Peach keep the corners from going cold. Flaked Green is hand-glazed, so speckle density shifts piece to piece.

The square is not severe. Corners round off. Each face carries a slight swell, and light slides across it instead of stopping flat.

Holding that edge took work. The hinge is concealed. The lid follows the bowl profile exactly, so the line runs unbroken from top to base. Rimless bowl. Seat and lid unclip in one motion.

Orgueil is French for pride, from a company named Throne. Trone has been building this joke for a while.
