It’s not too often performance fabrics are really, really soft. Usually there’s a rigidity you can feel, an endurance standard built-in that’s mean to hold up to high numbers of “double rub” counts. That’s not the case with the new Supreen patterns from Nassimi.

There are five new ultra-soft PFA- and fluorocarbon-free Supreen fabrics to choose from: Decadent and Supple Bouclé, Multicolored Bouclé, Sumptuous and Luxe Chenille Fabric, Tightly Woven Bouclé, and Ultra-Lush Lamsbwool Pile.

The Supreen name is a portmanteau constructed from putting “supple” and “preen” together. The “supple” part is all about Supreen’s unparalleled softness. “Preen” is because liquids roll right off this fabric, life water off a duck’s back. The result is an upholstery fabric that knows how to do its job well (exceeding contract grade upholstery standards) all while being and looking completely fabulous.

Multicolored Bouclé

Multicolored Bouclé features bright colors in a nubby bouclé pattern.

More subdued variations are available in what appears to be a liquid gold version and an overcast ocean sky with flecks of ivory and green olive.

Ultra-Lush Lambswool Pile

We can’t help but mention this one, an Ultra-Lush Lambswool Pile that looks like the super softness one might feel in an animal’s coat.

The fabric is a total liquid barrier, meaning this fabric, like all Supreen fabrics, goes above and beyond a moisture barrier; liquids will not penetrate.

In our opinion, the best part is really the miraculous and surprisingly soft feel of it. Supreen retains the beauty and softness of a woven fabric while incorporating the performance of a coated textile.

Supreen gets high marks in the Earth-positive and human health category too. Notably, Nassimi phased out PFAS from all of its products in 2022, so this one hits that benchmark too. Even without fluorocarbon, Supreen offers exceptional resistance to stains, including water-and oil-based ones. Supreen is also tough enough even for diluted bleach, making it useful for healthcare installations.
