NYCxDESIGN: Illuminated Manuscript
Get ready for the most luminous space division you’ve ever seen.

Honoree in the Accessories category at NYCxDESIGN, Luminosa Screen by Rottet Collection features Italian Rubelli fabric stretched taut within a sleek box of metal perched atop cleverly hidden feet of stone.

Resembling a Damask carpet or Moorish tapestry, Luminosa Screen is an elegant and inventive mode of space division and concealment.

But the kicker here is in the name. Luminosa gets its brilliance from the fabric itself—LEDs are integrated into the very warp and weft: “with a flip of a switch by night, Luminosa transforms the ambiance casting a warm glow through the textured fabric.”

Luminosa was originally designed as a radiant heating cover for l’Appartamento by Artemest at Salone 2024. In 2025, it takes new life (and receives new accolades) as a mobile freestanding screen in varied heights, with uses as diverse as a fireplace cover or full four-panel room divider.

Architect/designer Lauren Rottet has presided over more than 40 luxury hotels and many premier residential addresses. The Rottet Collection includes seating, tables, beds, desks, credenzas, and various accessories.
