Form in Suspension: The Architectural Baffle System Reimagined
Kirei’s EchoSky Neu architectural baffle system elevates the ceiling from backdrop to centerpiece. Replacing metal frameworks with lightweight PET crossbars, it simplifies installation while delivering high acoustic performance and striking visual rhythm.
EchoSky Neu introduces three distinct profiles, Linear, Steppe, and Tide, each forming sculptural waves or stepped geometries that redefine the fifth wall. Made from 60% recycled post-consumer plastics, every baffle helps divert waste while achieving an impressive Array-NRC of 0.70. Designers can select from over 30 colors and 50 printed patterns, or customize each fin with Kirei Ink’s high-resolution surface printing.
The system’s technical ingenuity lies in its ease. Lightweight components ship flat, assemble on-site, and require fewer hanging points, reducing both labor and carbon footprint. Yet the results are far from utilitarian: bold shadows, layered contours, and dynamic tonal interplay bring architectural precision to offices, hospitality spaces, and public interiors alike.
As Michael DiTullo of Carnegie Acoustic Solutions notes, the goal was to empower designers to “create truly iconic ceilings easily and quickly.” It’s a philosophy that echoes Kirei’s broader ethos: high-performance sustainability that still invites creative freedom.
EchoSky Neu continues Kirei’s legacy of transforming recycled materials into design-forward architectural surfaces, following innovations like its daring and dynamic Hyperfly Duo. With EchoSky Neu, the ceiling becomes an active participant in the room’s acoustics and its aesthetic story.
