KBIS 2026: Fabuwood’s Got the Beat
Semi-custom cabinetry rarely steals the spotlight at a trade show. At KBIS 2026, Fabuwood made sure it did.
The booth unfolded like a stage set, anchored by an oversize guitar and a piano rendered in layered woods and lacquered blacks. It was bold, even playful. But it wasn’t gimmick. The message was clear. Cabinetry sets the tempo of a space.
New door styles including Echo, Luxe, and Ovela expand the semi-custom cabinetry lineup with profiles that move from crisp and contemporary to softly transitional. An infusion of color-forward finishes, including Pistachio Green and Canyon Oak, pushes beyond safe neutrals without sacrificing broad appeal.
For specifiers working across multifamily, hospitality, or mixed-use residential, that flexibility is key. Semi-custom cabinetry occupies the productive middle ground between speed and specificity. Expanded Signature Collection finishes for Catalina and Tuscany deliver layered wood looks that read tailored, not templated.
Then there is the InFocus Drawer, developed with FreePower. Integrated wireless charging keeps devices powered yet out of sight. In shared kitchens and amenity spaces, that shift toward presence feels timely.
Curated vignettes throughout the booth demonstrated how cabinetry can anchor distinct aesthetics while maintaining cohesion, from color-forward kitchens to more restrained, textural moments.
At KBIS, Fabuwood proved that semi-custom cabinetry can do more than fill a footprint. It can organize space, integrate technology, and carry a concept from vignette to full build-out. We’ll be watching.
