Stacked stone bases hold up the Odette Daybed, and not one of them stands straight. Each is ribbed and slightly off-axis, like a pot left turning a beat too long. Stone furniture does not usually bother with this much personality below the seat.

Above them, one velvet plane runs 81 inches. No arms. No tufting. Nothing to interrupt the line.

The daybed belongs to the Alchemy Collection, a collaboration between Art + Loom and Manifeste Édition. Stone is the French studio’s native language. Textiles are Art + Loom’s. Odette meets at the ankle.

The seat lands at 19 inches. Low enough to read as lounge, high enough to leave without ceremony. Two loose bolsters float on top, unattached. Velvet is standard, COM available.

This is a piece for the room people cross before they sit. A hotel lobby with sightlines from three directions. A members’ club landing. Anywhere furniture gets looked at more than it gets used.

Art + Loom has made this translation before. Its Festival Rug pulled desert-scale installation art down to floor level. Odette pulls it back up onto carved stone.
