Hightower has extended the Mixis collection from a single standard-height chair into a full run of counter height seating. Bar, standard counter, and a new 22.5-inch ADA-compatible counter height, cut in-house at the company’s High Point facility.

The chair itself is unchanged. Solid oak frame, molded plywood back, optional upholstered seat. Designed by Mario Ferrarini for Crassevig, it has been in production for over a decade.

The backrest is an open loop of plywood that doubles as a handle. Useful in a room that gets reset often.

That 22.5-inch height is the real news. Most lines treat accessible counter height seating as a separate product, or skip it entirely. Here it sits inside the family, on the same frame, in the same five stained finishes.

One chair now runs from a café table to a reception counter to an amenity bar without switching families midway through a floorplan. The design language holds. So does the finish schedule.

Hightower has been building range like this elsewhere too, most recently with Stanza, which grew from a set of planters into a full interior system.
