Allsteel’s Flourish is a side chair built from overlapping upholstered layers that wrap the seat like petals. The effect lands hardest from behind. Most guest seating puts its thinnest material at the back. Flourish puts its best detail there.

Chris Adamick designed it. Up close, the layers resolve into corded welts, contrast seams, and a hairline reveal that floats the seat clear of its base.

Specify it tonal and the silhouette works quietly. Specify it with contrast and the seams become the graphic. The shape holds either way, which is the point of layered guest seating: one form, several registers. The XD Chair makes a related argument through flat color instead of depth.

Four bases carry it across the floorplate: a five-star swivel on casters, four-star swivel bases in metal and wood, and a four-leg wood. The return-to-center swivels are the quiet win. They keep a room looking intentional after everyone leaves.

Molded foam shaped for lounge-level support handles the meeting that runs long. Wood reads warm. Polished aluminum reads sharper. From the front it is a well-tailored chair. From the back it is a bloom.
