Sculptural Lighting: Petals in Glass, Light in Bloom

Sculptural Lighting: Petals in Glass, Light in Bloom

A dose of fantasy meets fine craftsmanship in Multiforme’s Flowers in Wonderland, a poetic example of sculptural lighting. Designed by Alessandra Baldereschi, the collection transforms the classic Murano flower into a luminous object of art, each stem a delicate interplay of color, craft, and illumination.

Six flower forms, each hand-blown in Murano glass, capture the lyrical essence of spring. Petals ripple in pastel hues, stems glint with texture, and leaves twist with improbable grace. But it is the magic of light that completes the illusion. Once placed in its companion vase, the flower glows softly from within, revealing new tonalities and depth.

This is sculptural lighting that celebrates both tradition and experiment. Multiforme’s artisans combine centuries-old glassblowing techniques with hidden LED and rechargeable battery technology, creating a lamp that feels alive and responsive, as if light were drawn from the flower itself.

Equally suited to boutique hotel lobbies, intimate restaurants, or gallery-style retail displays, the series invites playful curation. A single stem can punctuate a reception counter; a cluster becomes a small-scale installation. Like the glowing botanicals in Blooming LightFlowers in Wonderland elevates decorative lighting into pure storytelling, uniting the poetic and the precise.
